Mrs. Fannie Reese

"… THEM THAT HONOUR ME I WILL HONOUR…" I Samuel 2:30

Easter Sunday morning, Lakeside's founding pastor's wife Mrs. Fannie Reese, went home to be with the Lord. Mrs. Fannie was a treasure, and we loved her at Lakeside. Her influence will remain in our hearts and lives. Not only was she a mother of three talented girls, she was also a caring Preacher's wife, pianist, founder of the Melody Chorale and Bible Quiz, and a Youth Director who was totally involved in the direction of young people's lives. She wanted them to serve and honor the Lord. During some of her lifetime, she gave timeless hours toward the Twin Lakes Youth Camp, and the Television Ministry of our church.

Pray for her family and friends this week as her services will be held. The family will greet friends at Lakeside Baptist Church in Clearwater, SC, Tuesday evening from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Her funeral service will be conducted on Wednesday afternoon at 2:00 PM in the Lakeside Baptist Church sanctuary.

Enjoyed playing with Glyn at the Champions Retreat member/guest tournament yesterday. No, my shot was not in the creek. We won first place!

Praise the Lord for watching over Bro. Ray and some of our young people as they travelled to Pensacola Christian College to visit the school and also see Seth. We are certainly praying for God to send more laborers into the harvest!

Enjoyed a fun day at the Masters yesterday with my cousin David and my son. Tyler got quite a number of fist bumps from the top golfers in the world.

Jewish Meeting

Please pray for me as I travel today to Chattanooga to speak at the International Board of Jewish Missions annual banquet. I will be taking 2 of our Jewish believers from Lakeside with me and we are looking forward to a great time of fellowship. Lord willing I plan to preach on "It's all about Access." The Jew and Gentile both have access to mercy because the veil was rent in twain by God!
