Faithful Men Prayer Meeting

We were blessed to have 30 men for our prayer meeting last night. Bro. Skip gave a good challenge about provoking one another to love and good works. Thanks to Bro. Russell for his leadership. We look forward to this monthly prayer meeting of "Faithful Men."

Just An Old Truck

I sold my old truck this week. Had it for 10 years and it gave me wonderful service. Tyler and I were both a little sad to see it go because he loves to go wherever I'm going in in my truck. I think of all the places that it faithfully took me over the years like revivals, youth events, soul-winning and of course places like the Final Four, US Open and the Masters. All the things that the Lord allows me to have are simply just tools to help me serve Him, so I can honestly say, Lord, thank you for my old truck!

Just finished reading Genesis. Almost 200 of us are on a journey through the Bible this year. Keep it up, only 65 books to go!

Monday Update

Exciting day yesterday at Lakeside. We are grateful for the 2 men who trusted Christ in the morning service and for the lady that was saved after the evening service. It's gettin' sweeter and sweeter every week! Our attendance has jumped even higher in the last few weeks, our pews and parking lot are all filled (even the new lot). Please pray about what the Lord would have us do about room for the future. We want to know the will of the Lord. We need more space for our growing Sunday Bible School and our Wednesday AWANA ministry. We added 100 seats last year to our auditorium and its wonderful to see them filled on Sunday mornings. May God bless each of you for your outreach to others as we are continually welcoming new families.

I am very excited about our monthly "Faithful Men" Prayer Meetings beginning on January 30th at 7pm. We will meet on the last Saturday of each month. II Timothy 2:2 says "And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also." We have a strong group of men and I want God to bring us closer to Him and each other as we pray together.

In Milford, Ohio

Thank you for praying for me while I've been speaking at the Bearing Precious Seed Conference in Milford, Ohio. I really enjoyed going to the Creation Museum today as well as a tour of the BPS printing ministry. I will be speaking again in the morning and then flying back home in the afternoon. They're calling for several inches of snow here in the morning! Hope to see each of you on 100% Sunday.

Thank the Lord for the great start at Lakeside for 2010. There was another full house today and 2 believers were baptized this morning and looking forward to baptizing 2 more tonight.

Praise the Lord for the two young people who were saved at the New Year's Eve teen event! Thanks to Bro. Ray and all of his helpers!

Lakeside is encouraging people to read through the Bible this year. 192 have already stood and made a public commitment to follow the plan. We believe it will be a powerful and profitable experience.
