Sanford, Maine
We really enjoyed the Training last night with the Teachers of Calvary Baptist. Bro. Todd Bell and his family have been used of the Lord to plant this thriving church 5 years ago. Mrs. Amy had prepared a delicious meal for everyone before the training time and it snowed the entire time I was teaching. I love it! Tyler is looking forward to a little snowmobiling today. Please pray that God will enable me as I preach in the service tonight. You may enjoy reading Pastor Bell's blog at http://www.calvaryofsanford.blogspot.com/ Maybe we can bring a Mission Team here soon to help them remodel their church building for more space.
We are praying for Bro. John and all the folks at Lakeside for a good meeting tonight.

Sunday Report
As I write this, my family and I are in flight to Boston. Love the wi-fi at 35,000 feet! I will be speaking at the Calvary Baptist Church in Sanford, Maine where my good friend Todd Bell is the Pastor. Thank you for all you prayers. Lord willing we will be returning on Friday and be in our place for Outreach on Saturday morning.
Yesterday was another great day at Lakeside. On Valentines day I preached on "Falling In Love With Jesus Again." Thank the Lord for the good results. The music was first class as usual. After the service my wife and I enjoyed a delicious meal in the parlor, just loving on some special ladies.
Last night all the men and young men gathered at the altar for special prayer for the future of our church. What a tremendous group of men. I am thankful for the leadership of godly men at Lakeside. After the service, Bro. Ray, the teens and all parents invaded the McDonalds in Clearwater. We had a great time with a fun crowd!
We love all of you and trust that the Lord will richly bless you this week.

Sunday Evening Service
Over the years, the Lord has given me a burning desire to see men called into His ministry. For over 20 years as a Youth Pastor I enjoyed seeing God call a number of young men to preach. We are asking the Lord to do that at Lakeside and are thankful that He is speaking to some men.
Bro. Rob Scott (Command Sergeant Major in the Army) and his family came to Lakeside about 18 months ago and we are excited about God's leading in his life. Bro. Rob did a fantastic job preaching about Gideon and his army, "Less of Gideon, More of God" on this past Sunday night. Please pray that as he retires from the Army that God will give clear leading about Bible School and future ministry for his family.
We also had a fun time at our Souper Bowl Fellowship after the message. Thank you Helen for the delicious chili!

Monday Update
Last night we had one of the sweetest services since I've been at Lakeside. Bro. Jim did a great job organizing all our folks in the music ministry for a Sunday Night Singing. I think there may have been 13 specials and all were a blessing! We especially enjoyed the teen girls singing for the first time and the Kulp/Farmer Quartet singing for the first time in 10 years. By the way, I wouldn't want any other choir in America except ours! Thanks to all who participated in this special service; but it's a delight to enjoy quality music in all of our services.
We also took an unannounced "hilarious" offering Sunday morning to help Missionary Ralph Stokes get a set of tires for his truck. Twelve teen young men helped collect over $2200 from people waving money in the air after we had already received our regular tithes. Praise the Lord, we all had a great laugh!
We each placed our tithing pledges on the altar yesterday and we're praying that 2010 would be our greatest year ever for souls, giving and missions. May God richly bless each of you as we serve the King until He comes.
