Recently retired CSM Rob Scott has been a big blessing to Lakeside the last few years. After 25 years in the Army, Rob is now a part of our church staff directing our "Duty Calls" Military Ministry. Because of his leadership we have been able to minister to over 130 soldiers on our property in the last year! Hooah! Uh, I mean Amen!

SFC Brent Sharpe
On this Memorial Day I'm very grateful for SFC Brent Sharpe who recently returned from Afghanistan and presented Lakeside a flag that was flown at the US base there. It has been exciting to see the spiritual growth in Brent's life over the last 3 years.

Youth Rally
We thank the Lord for the Youth Rally tonight. Bro. Ray did a fantastic job of setting up the entire outreach and Bro. Mark Pollard preached a wonderful message to all the teens. I was blessed to walk around the property and watch the great crowd of teens as they were playing games, climbing the wall, eating, competing, riding the bucking bull, boating and enjoying fellowship under the tent and the pavilion. All of our church workers were so helpful and friendly. It's thrilling to see you loving God and reaching people. Praise the Lord.
AWANA Leaders Banquet
We had a great time last evening with all the AWANA leaders at their banquet. Scott and Tammy recognized all the folks for their commitment this year. Bro. Mark Pollard brought a challenging message and John Cosh cooked a delicious meal. We were just a little late because we were excited to stop by for the surprise 70th birthday party for Paul Blackburn. Great fun!
The Beginning of the Tent Ministry!
Praise the Lord for the new tent! I just mentioned it Wednesday at the end of the service and by Thursday morning God had used a number of gracious people to provide all the funds. We didn't even take an offering! Glory! We were so excited that we drove to TN Thursday to haul it home.
This picture is just of the tent top only. We also have sidewalls, a platform, chairs, lights, a generator, a jackhammer and a 24 ft. trailer for transporting and storage. Lord willing, we plan to use the tent in several ways: youth rallies, 911 Sunday, fall festival outreach, NBT, tent revivals, mission trips, church planting and our new disaster relief ministry.
We do still plan to take an offering tomorrow for future expenses of the tent ministry. We may even purchase an additional section to expand the tent seating from 500 to about 700. I love a tent, praise the Lord for His provision.

Gospel Tent!
Praise the Lord! We are purchasing a gospel tent to be used in the ministry. I love a tent! Going soon to pick it up from Tennessee. We plan to use it for:
Youth Rallies
Neighborhood Bible Time
911 Sunday
Gospel Tent Revivals
Fall Festival
Mission Trips
& our new Disaster Relief Ministry
Lord willing, people will be saved under this tent, people will be helped under this tent and I know the gospel will be preached under this tent. God is good, did I mention that I love a tent!

Lots of work getting done. Roof on shelter raised quickly without crane. One mile of fence rail built. Cabins pressure washed. Our men deserved a nice meal last night. I enjoyed fellowshipping with them on my quick trip up and back yesterday. This camp has made some major improvements over the last few years including new cabins with a/c. Can't wait for summer camp. I love it! More pictures to come when they get back.
