The Zoo With The Preacher Too!

We had an awesome time taking the kids on the Super Bus to the Zoo. These were the children who came every night to our Mission Conference. Thank the Lord for great families.

Aiken Public Safety

It was my honor this morning to pray with people from the community as officers from Aiken Public Safety departed for Washington, DC and the special ceremony in memory of Scotty Richardson and other fallen officers. I thank God everyday for the privilege of being the chaplain and loving on the fine people of APS.

Nathan Graduates From Bible College

It was a joy to attend Nathan's graduation at West Coast Baptist College this week. Nathan will be our summer intern and then begin ministry as Music Director at Peoples Baptist Church in Greenville, NC. We are so thankful that the Lord led the Bancroft family to Lakeside over 4 years ago!

Easter

Praise the Lord, there were almost 500 there yesterday for the Easter Sunday service. Thank you for doing such a great job of inviting and bringing people. It was good to see the response during the invitation also.
Please pray for Pat today as she faces surgery once again. We have placed her in the hands of God and there's no better place to be. The people of Lakeside are loving people and I am humbled and honored to be your pastor. We love each of you and pray for God's richest blessings on you and your family.

Men's Prayer Fellowship

Praise the Lord for a great number of men out last night for our Steak and Prayer Fellowship. All the food was delicious, Mark Logan gave a powerful challenge about sowing the seed, and we were able to set up all the equipment for Scripture publishing. Thank you men for coming! I ask each of you to make the Mission Conference your priority this week, don't miss a service.

Anniversary Sunday

Just a reminder about the 58th Anniversary Sunday services tomorrow. A breakfast with biscuits, gravy, and Krispy Kreme doughnuts (AMEN!) will be in the gym at 9:30am (we will stop serving at 10:00am) and the Worship Service will be at 10:30am. Our theme comes from I Samuel 12:24, "...for consider how great things He hath done for you." We look forward to a great day and we hope to see each of you there. We love each of you with a heavenly love,

Victorious Valley Homes

Enjoyed my day today with men from Lakeside as we visited the Victorious Valley Girls Home in Sunset, SC. Pray as we plan a work project there in the next couple of months. We were blessed to hear the girls sing as we toured the property. Mrs. Susan McGill still needs our prayers. I'm planning to have her come sing again at Lakeside soon.

Day 9 and we're still waiting for another procedure to be done. We were blessed today to have the deacons and pastors come and pray over Pat. We enjoyed a sweet time in the Lord and we're certainly trusting Him for healing and help. Thank you for all of your prayers and love.

Saturday Update

Dear Lakeside Family,

Please be in prayer for Bro. Jim and Mrs. Priscilla's daughter Rebecca in Kansas. She has had a difficult few days and we are so glad that Bro. Jim was able to fly out late last night to be there.
Also we ask you to pray again for all the Aiken Public Safety family as another officer was shot earlier this morning. You can follow the details in the local news but I ask you to be intercessors for these professional people who stand between us and evil in our community. Once again our church is trying to be a blessing by providing food and I am simply trying to share the love of Christ with the officers during this difficult time.
I pray that you will be present in the morning as we prepare to receive our tithing commitments for 2012.
We love each one of you and desire to be an encouragement to you.
